NAHQ Immediate Past President
The immediate past president acts as the liaison to the Nominating Team, Fellowship Review Board, and Past Presidents' Council; as an ex-officio member of the Healthcare Quality Certification Commission; and works on NAHQ projects as needed.

A. Qualifications
- Immediate Past President of NAHQ.
B. Leadership Functions
- Set strategic direction based on clear values, expectations and clear performance goals.
- Mentor to provide professional development.
- Evaluate and improve leadership function, including one's own performance.
- Assess organizational performance in achieving strategic goals.
- Create future opportunities for NAHQ as an association and for its members.
C. Role Functions
- Serve as liaison to the Nominating Team.
- Serve as liaison to the Fellowship Review Board.
- Serve as liaison to the Past Presidents' Council.
- Serve as liaison for NAHQ projects as needed.
- Serve as ex-officio member of the HQCB.
- Facilitate the ongoing interaction and communication among the board and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership to team and state association leaders in fulfilling their responsibilities in representing their state and members.
Estimated number of meetings/conference calls Participation at annual educational conference
- Five onsite board meetings (includes NAHQ and HQCB)
- Approximately three board conference calls
- Other follow-up calls as necessary

- Time commitment from employer—approximately 2 hours per week
