Acute Care SIG Sees Action
 |
If you’re looking for action, look no further than the Acute Care Special Interest Group (SIG) Listserv—it’s seeing lots of activity! Thanks to a request from Joy L. of Missouri, I learned about an exciting feature available to our SIG team members: the archiving function. If you would like to look back through some of the e-mail discussions on any of our Listservs, just go to http://home.ease.lsoft.com/. Select “browse the online list archives” and search for the desired SIG, such as NAHQ-ACUTECARE. |
You will need your NAHQ log-in and password to access the archives. You can open e-mails, obtain attachments, and even respond to e-mails. Don’t wait long to try this function; messages are removed quarterly to make space for new ones.
Some recent discussion topics on the Acute Care SIG include credentialing of primary care physicians in hospitals, hospital benchmarks for falls, and quality performance measures for radiologists, anesthesiologists, pathologists, and emergency department physicians. Sample forms have been saved at the Resource Center on www.nahq.org. If you missed any of these topics, use the archive function to learn more!
One last word: One member recently posted a very unprofessional e-mail message to unsubscribe from the Acute Care SIG. Several other members responded to this negative e-mail. I want to thank those members who showed support for the SIG process and testified to the benefits that they are receiving from sharing with colleagues.
SIGs can provide valuable help for all of us in our practice settings, and we look forward to seeing more activity and collaboration in the future.
