Innovations in Hospital
Accreditation Yehuda
Dror, president, DNV Healthcare Inc., Houston, TX, says its new
approach to hospital accreditation, called National Integrated
Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, is under federal
evaluation. If approved, it will be the first new national
accreditation organization for hospitals in more than 40
years.
HFAP:
Accrediting for More than 60 Years
George A.
Reuther, director of Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program of
the American Osteopathic Association, says that HFAP is one of only
two voluntary accreditation organizations authorized by the Centers
for Medicare and Medicaid Services to accredit hospitals under
Medicare.
