Recently, NCQA launched standards that allow organizations to demonstrate excellence within their programs. What are the components of an effective program? Continuous survey readiness is an organizational imperative as accreditation and regulatory challenges grow in tandem with resource challenges. This paper will share one organization's approach to these challenges through a Continuous Readiness Program across 25 Kaiser Permanente California hospitals, by describing the structure, process (assessment tools and technology), and outcome of the program which utilizes internal resources and expertise.
