Medicine
To improve the safety of laboratory medicine, the National Quality
Forum (NQF) has endorsed six preferred practices for measuring and
reporting patient safety and communication in laboratory
medicine.
HHS Secretary Sebelius Highlights AHRQ Reports
In a recent speech to the United Nurses of America, Department of
Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius
discussed two new AHRQ reports on the quality of and disparities in
healthcare in America and challenged nurses to work to reduce
healthcare-associated infections.
