Attention Speakers: Please use the NAHQ slide template for your Annual Conference presentation. If you have a table/graphics that take up the ull slide please keep that background all white and insert it into this slide template.

AV Procedures at the Annual Conference

Every speaker will be provided with a laptop computer and NAHQ will preload your presentation. We hope this will minimize pressures that come with presenting. You do not need to bring a laptop computer with you to the meeting.

When you arrive at the Sacramento Convention Center, please check in at the NAHQ Registration Desk to pick up your registration packet. We will not have a speaker check-in this year. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your session with your presentation on a CD or USB flash drive.

Your session room will be listed in the program book that will be included in your registration packet. An AV technician will be available to upload your presentation to the laptop provided for your session.

All laptops are PC compatible. If your presentation requires a MAC computer, we suggest you bring a MAC laptop and cables with you. We do not have the capability to run programs that require a MAC system.

The following AV equipment will be provided for you:

PC compatible laptop computer
LCD projector
Lavaliere microphone
Screen

No additional equipment will be provided. Download a copy of the NAHQ AV Procedure.

PLEASE NOTE: If your presentation requires sound or contains a video clip, please contact Jacki Van Oort no later than Friday, July 29. She will alert the AV techs to check your presentation once it is uploaded at the meeting.

Handout Submission

Deadline for handout submission: July 15, 2011. Handout submission instructions:

Handouts must be submitted electronically as an attachment to Jacki Van Oort at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please do not send as a separate CD.
Format preference:
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- PDF- must be 6 slides per page
Limit materials to 25 pages per handout- SINGLE SIDED.
Please make the font large enough for attendees to read. Don't overload a slide with large amounts of text in a small font.
Do not number pages or slides.
Include a bibliography for all necessary copy.
NAHQ will send you the coordinated slide template and post it to this speakers' page on the website for your use.
REMINDER: Per your speaker contract, if your handout is not received by the July 15 deadline, you will be responsible for providing the necessary handouts on-site at your expense. NAHQ will not provide handouts for the attendees if you miss the July 15 deadline.
