NAHQ History
The National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) was founded in 1976. Originally incorporated in California as the National Association for Quality Assurance Professionals, today the association is home to more than 10,000 quality and patient safety professionals working in healthcare settings both nationally and internationally.
NAHQ has operated under several names as the profession has developed and celebrated many milestones. View the organization’s timeline or read our 35th anniversary historical publication.
